Newtek ndi after effects doesnt work5/25/2023 I believe TriCaster uses Bonjour to detect NDI sources. ![]() However, I think I made some progress today. I attempted to use OpenVPN, but for some reason, the client I was using was not letting me join the same subnet and I don't know enough about networking to figure it out on my own. I'm using a Linksys LRT214 as a PPTP server since I'm not really concerned about the NSA watching my productions. If NDI over VPN is not possible now, I hope it one day can deliver on the promise to affordably connect facilities across the world. I've been impressed with the added features and I'm happy it's finally here. Is that an incorrect assumption?Īnd more constructively to help people interested in the same problem, can you provide any information about what TriCasters need to find NDI sources? Do they need access to NetBIOS names? Would setting up something like a WINS server work? I understand a direct fiber link may be what Cross was talking about, but based on the expense of doing so and NewTek's target audience, I was under the assumption that he was speaking about a VPN. In addition, I seem to remember a few questions about this on the forums ( #66). Cross doesn't specifically mention VPN and NDI, it does seem to be implied in this video.
